As the seasons change, so does our classroom.
Little Roots Forest School offers year round outdoor education for children from preschool through their teen years across Baldwin County. With small class sizes and hands on learning, each program creates space for children to explore, learn, build confidence, and enjoy being outside.
Sprouts children splash in the creek, create art, listen to stories, and discover seasonal science through play. Homeschool students go deeper into Gulf Coast ecology through field investigations, citizen science, and real conservation projects. Basecamp gives older kids a place to gather around bonfires, practice bushcraft, build forts, explore the forest, slow down, and spend meaningful time with friends.
The curriculum follows the seasons and the natural events unfolding throughout the year. Whether a child is turning over their first log, learning to build a fire, or collecting meaningful field data, every experience helps them build a lasting relationship with the Gulf Coast they call home.
